Wake up, Muses!

I have always loved writing. For me, it is more than just putting words together. It is re-creating life in prose and poetry that leave imprints of the person I humbly am. Yet my hunger for words, sentences, lines and stanzas seemed to have blossomed but unfortunately dried up long before it really began. (Sadly, that’s what has happened despite my father’s constant support and encouragement to bring out the writer in me.)

To wake up the muses in me, I thought that it is but right to start a blog. This way, I will be obliged to sit down and do what I love doing.  Writing!

For a start, let me share with you one of my poems, “Woman”.

“Woman” is a poem that I wrote for the many women God sent me to brighten up my day when things aren’t right, those who inspire me to do what I could not possibly do all by myself and they who encourage me to believe that life is good and always worth living!

For those Women, I dedicate this poem.

Louisa May Alcott

"Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead."

Helen Keller

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."

When you find a dream inside you heart, don't ever let it go...for dreams are the tiny seeds from which tomorrows grow.
